The Breton Collection presents a suite of complementary stripe and check designs.

Breton
Zepel
The Breton stripe throughout textile history is rich in both culture and fashion. Introduced in 1858 as the French Navy uniform with each stripe representing a Napoleon Bonaparte victory, it was undeniably visually striking, aiding in the spotting of overboard sailors. Iconic designers Jean Paul Gaultier and Coco Chanel were among the first to adopt stripe designs into modern attire. Soon followed interior design, popularised in Nimes, France and rural Burgundy creating its beloved associations with country homes, the French Provincial and classic interior styles.
The Breton Collection connects to this history in fresh colourways, a yarn dyed construction, cotton blend composition, and an additional check coordinate to mix and match. This striking multi-purpose collection is woven on a poly cotton base cloth boasting a naturally soft handle and fluidity when draped. Presented in 6 versatile and classic colourways such as denim, clay, thistle and sky blue.
