ARABIS - Image 1

ARABIS is a jacquard pattern, which is made using a Scherli or Fil Coupe weaving and cutting technique; it makes a statement in any interior due to its ornamental, stylised design. Its transparent matt background, featuring a structured weave, compliments the denser part of the fabric harmoniously. The fabric features two different yarns- one matt, one lustrous- which alternate irregularly, creating stunning reflections of light on the surface. 62 weft threads per centimetre are needed to make the fine ARABIS fabric. It is produced in the Italian region of Lombardy, which has been a textile industry hub since the Middle Ages.
