VELVET PIXEL is a very complicated fabric to produce. The true epingle is inspired by Glitch Art, an art school that uses bizarre colours and deformations which occur due to errors in the digital data stream in computer systems to produce aesthetic creations. For the production of VELVET PIXEL two warps out of Cupro and cotton are used, one with 6880 yarns and another with 3440 yarn cones. Woven like a velvet, a viscose yarn in the weft adds design highlights. Cupro is a cellulose yarn that is more stable than common viscose and is very similar to silk in its appearance.
