Christian Fischbacher has a long tradition of working with silk and CASTELLO opens a further chapter in its history of successes. 136 ultra-fine silk threads per cm in the warp are woven together with wool and viscose in the weft to form a dense silk damask. A dynamic interplay of light and shadow is created in the design through the various different shades of colour in the weft yarns. The finished cloth exudes a subtle opulence that does justice to the value of the silk. As a classic damask pattern with a fresh interpretation of the weave, CASTELLO works well in both traditional and contemporary interiors. Due to its soft, smooth and yet compact feel, CASTELLO makes a beautiful drape. Production takes place at one of the most innovative weaving companies in India that fulfil Christian Fischbacher's exacting requirements down to the last detail.
