With refined and durable AVIANO, Christian Fischbacher has once again succeeded in uniting top quality with innovation. This time the Swiss textile design company has reverted to a rarely used elaborate technique, and has crafted AVIANO on a jacquard twister machine. After weaving, the cloth is not simply shrunk, but instead goes through a complex, multistage process to give the surface of the fabric its unique 'cloudy' texture and a particularly attractive glossy finish. The smoothly draping AVIANO features a restrained pattern repeat, the design of which is only visible when viewed up close. AVIANO, flame-retardant and woven in Trevira CS, is manufactured in Germany using materials sourced in Europe. The fabric is 290 cm in length and can therefore be used as floor to ceiling drapery in a variety of different public and private spaces.
