Located in Osborne Park, a short drive from Perth, Western Australia, is the Mineral Resources Headquarters. This light filled building with expansive windows and high ceilings provides the optimum foundation for creating a workplace designed with wellness in mind. This was the key concept for architecture and interior design firm Milieu Creative, who have designed a space that optimises comfort and sensory balance through textiles, natural materials, greenery, minimalist schemes and mid-century furniture. One of our signature drapery designs, Pointillism, features prominently in this building providing texture, filtered light, and privacy in offices and common areas.

There’s expertise in integrating the sheer range of natural materials, earthy tones, and soft furnishings throughout a building that’s minimally elegant yet interesting to explore.

This wide-width mesh weave adds depth and visual interest through the subtle tonal shifts across the surface, created by the imperfect yarn widths. The finish highlights a soft sheen that elevates the fabric, while its firm structure and weighted hem adds a full, seamless drape.

The design complements the mid-century inspired textures and spice infused colour palette in the interior styling from the curved furniture, boucle’s and velvet upholsteries, timber cabinetry, and slated ceiling detail. Pointillism softens the strong light in the common seating and break areas, contributing to the relaxed environment and complementing the comfort of the surrounding soft furnishings. This design is also used in contrast to rich timber fittings and the charcoal palette in meeting rooms, adding delicacy to these spaces.

Milieu Creative’s commitment to holistic and responsive interiors focused on wellbeing and comfort speaks through the design elements at Mineral Resources. There’s expertise in integrating the sheer range of natural materials, earthy tones, and soft furnishings throughout a building that’s minimally elegant yet interesting to explore.
