ODE Dermatology in Fitzroy, Melbourne, offers an award-winning, hotel-inspired interpretation of a traditional clinic. Housed in a terraced Victorian building amongst Gertrude Street’s high-end boutiques and hospitality offerings, the gentle palette of mocha, blush, and burgundy imparts a luxuriously feminine energy into the space.
In addition to the interior, Foolscap Studio also designed the clinic’s branding. ODE embodies the concept of prioritising selfcare and a ‘quiet ode to oneself’ whilst celebrating a modern balance of touch and technology by delving into the transformative qualities of skincare.
When establishing her first clinic, Dr Shyamalar Gunatheesan sought to depart from the traditionally sterile healthcare environment and instead create a holistic wellness experience referencing high-end hospitality interiors.
