An innovative global law firm, Pinsent Masons sought to open a Perth office in addition to their existing Sydney and Melbourne locations.

Seeking to create a modern, highly professional space which embodies the surrounding environment and reflects their mantra – approachable, bold, and connected – the firm enlisted local interior design studio Design Theory.

Inspired by the company’s sense of purpose and the building’s exceptional views, Design Theory crafted a highly functional interior consisting of multipurpose spaces for work, collaboration, relaxation, privacy, and socialising.

The material palette takes inspiration from the colours, textures, and hues of Swan River and Kings Park. Celebrating and connecting the interior spaces with the outdoor-focussed Western Australian lifestyle and vibrant blue sky.

Open weave sheer curtains in Bryce colour Fog add a sense of tactility and graphic interest to the shared spaces, whilst Rhyme colour Sterling offers softness and tranquillity to the relaxation area.

“Pattern is layered within the depth of the floor place through hanging acoustic screens, character-filled textural carpets, and pops of colour to wall lights and joinery, which add to the interior’s inviting nature,” says interior designer Lisa Reeves of Design Theory.

Collectively the design ensures a considered space, where work and meaningful interactions can coexist to nurture the wellbeing of the modern employee.
