Christian Fischbacher has stood for creativity and innovation in the textile sector for 197 years. High-end interior fabrics that are recycled out of plastic bottles and other materials have become an important part of the Christian Fischbacher product range.
Benu Remix represents the newest addition to this range: a wool fabric recycled out of fabric scraps from the production of Italian high-fashion items. These fabrics are produced without the additional use of chemicals or water, and with much less energy than is needed for the production of normal fabrics.
Benu Recycled by Christian Fischbacher is named after the ancient Egyptian mythical bird Benu, which burns to rise again from its ashes (much like the Greek Phoenix). The name’s English pronunciation “be new” represents the recycling concept of the collection.
